The Director duo Abbas-Mustan are back with yet another thriller movie titled “Race”. The movie is an action thriller and murder mystery with a dash of romance and humour.

‘Race’ is a story of two brothers – Race is the story of 2 brothers – Ranvir Singh (Saif Ali Khan) and Rajeev Singh (Akshaye Khanna)- one of them plays to win, while the other one plays to defeat.

They breed horses on their huge ranch houses and are one of the biggest bookies in the horse racing circuit.

Character sketches

Saif Ali Khan as Ranvir Singh :Ranvir is the older of the two brothers. He is a ruthless businessman who will not stop at anything to win the game. Playing with danger is his passion, and outsmarting his opponents is his favourite timepass.

Akshaye Khanna as Rajeev Singh :The younger of the two brothers, Rajeev is spoilt, laidback, and happy to be so. But underneath the surface there lurks an anger which he tries to rein in with liquor. As a result, both anger and liquor get the better of him and end up controlling him.

Katrina Kaif as Sophia :She is Ranvir’s beautiful and innocent looking secretary who manages all his important affairs. She is indispensable to Ranvir, who trusts her completely, but does not reciprocate her love.

Bispasha Basu as Sonia : is a beautiful and glamourous model with a shady past. She is looking for a man who will keep her in his heart. She is waiting for the rich and famous Ranvir Singh to propose to her.

Anil Kapoor as Robert D’ Costa : A private detective with the deceptive air of an idiot. He is constantly eating fruits while solving a case. He is sharp, resourceful and quick. His appearance in the story makes the plot thicken as he unravels one lie after the other.

Sameera Reddy as Mini :The attractive and sexy assistant of Robert D Costa. Like a dumb brunette, Mini constantly asks stupid questions and is mostly relegated by her boss to cutting fruits or doing menial jobs.

Synopsis:

‘Race’ is the story of two brothers – Ranvir Singh and Rajeev Singh , who live on the edge of life. Their business is horse racing. Winning is their habit and danger is their sport.

Set against the high-flying social fabric of modern South Africa, ‘Race’ is about betrayal and greed, intrigue and revenge.

Even love comes laced with a motive. The stakes are too high. Double them and you have the perfect ground for a perfect murder. That is exactly what happens – a murder.

Who was the game? Who held the strings?

The glamourous model Sonia whom Ranvir loved, or the beautiful secretary Sophia who loved Ranvir.

The sudden appearance of detective Robert D Costa and his dumb but sexy assistant Mini deepens the plot into a gripping tale of drama.

With the brothers pitched against each other, who will win? The one who plays to win or the one who plays to defeat?

The Plot :

The elder brother Ranvir is known to be very smart and aggressive while Rajeev is a constant alcoholic. Sophia is Ranvir’s personal secretary and loves him. Ranvir is however ignorant of her feelings towards him.

Shaina is an Indian Model and shares a beautiful relationship with Ranvir. But fate has some other plans for her. She gets married to Rajeev and her world is shattered when she discovers that he is a chronic alcoholic.

Rajeev is still addicted to alcohol although he promised his elder brother that he would leave it after marriage.

In a moment of truth Ranvir and Shaina come close to each other and an affair begins. All hell is broken loose when Rajeev suspects his wife of double crossing.

A Murder is committed.

Enter Robert.D. Costa, a detective who lives by his values. He is desperate to find out the truth and arrest the perpetrator. He is very clever and has a bizarre addiction to fruits. Mini is R.D’s personal assistant and is as dumb as sexy she is.

Thus the Race begins as the story unfolds in a series of unexpected twists and turns and a nail-biting climax which is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat. With brilliantly executed action sequences and an intriguing storyline, Race is certainly a movie to watch out for.

A professionally executed movie by brother duo Abbas-Mastan , with stylized clothes,well shot locations and intrigue!!!

The movie has a number of gritty action sequences. For one such stunt, Saif jumped off the terrace of a 22-storey high-rise in Durban.

The stunt was conducted under the supervision of action director Allan Amin. Saif was secured with a safety cables to control the speed and direction of his fall.

Like the movie My Friend Ganesha the movie 26th July in Barista is also a movie based on a family and story that is located in Mumbai. The city was flooded to strand people at their place be it homes, school, market places and work areas.

In a matter of 24 hours where power and phone lines were dead the lifeline are emotions which is a link to total strangers in crisis where you try to do your bit by a word of solace, help physically or stabilize the moments of life which is torn apart by the disaster.

Synopsis:

The unexpected heavy rainfall on July 26th in the year 2005 made people and kids vulnerable to many horrific situations as they were blocked in their schools, job location and many were blocked in traffic. The movie is a tribute to the people who did not loose their calm and helped people even in such disaster irrespective of cast, creed and religion

The movie is a salute to the spirit of Mumbai and World Humanity. The Natural catastrophe which destructed many lives of People and Property and laid the bare fact that nobody is above the nature. The Hero and Heroine who are accidentally at Barista console their friends & people at Barista while they are under turmoil and trauma.

Their love is an emotion which is subtle but denotes how love can overcome the saga of natural calamity and two strangers are bound by an unknown feeling which is all prevalent and essence of life.

The Plot:

The story starts as people are coming back from their work areas and children coming from school and the rain are just flooding everywhere .The raining in Mumbai is not very uncommon and people are not surprised to see the rains. Many are complaining the municipal for not making proper roads to avoid water logging. Many children are playing in the streets in rains. The rains in Mumbai are generally heavy and people expect that it will stop and things will be normal.

Many people gather at a coffee shop, Barista in Mumbai and two strangers also get to the coffee shop. People are sitting in Barista with families and loved ones and many are with friends enjoying the evening and rains. And then happened like the rains are not stopping and the water level in street goes up and up and people are stranded to the coffee shop.

The story is about a group of people who fight the natural calamity and protect other people risking their own lives. The horrific night of Mumbai when the city was flooded with water most unexpectedly is depicted and the strength of people who come together to help each other to get out of the problem is also depicted in the movie .The movie comes as a praise for such people who helped others at the time of disaster without even knowing who the other person was and the people who risked their own lives for others during floods.

A film which touchs a chord in people’s heart every where all over the world. “Emotion Is One Common Bond All Over World Irrespective Of Caste, Creed, Colour And Status.” It is a humble way of saluting the human spirit world over.

The movie will release on 14th March 2008.

Bollywood showman Subhash Ghai is back to filmmaking after a long break with a movie on terrorism, “Black and White”. His period romance, “Kisna: The Warrior Poet” had bombed at the box office in 2005.

Set in Delhi, the drama revolves around a professor, who teaches Urdu literature in Zakir Hussain College and lives in Chandni Chowk with his activist wife.

Terrorism is a burning issue plaguing the entire world. If researched well and executed deftly, the film might be a good watch especially because of Anil who is known to be a perfectionist. Anil gives meticulous attention to every detail of his character.

Shot in Delhi and Mumbai, Ghai’s film launches Anurag Sinha.

Anil Kapoor as Professor Rajan Mathur : He teaches Urdu literature in Zakir Hussain College and lives and lives a respectful life in Chandni Chowk with his social activist wife.

Shefali Shah as Roma Mathur: A sharp- tongued woman who is busy in her dual role as wife and activist.

Anurag Sinha as Namair Qazi: A terrorist , a suicide bomber of a Muslim fundamentalist group who is ordered to set off a bomb near Red Fort on 15th August. He, however, introduces himself as as a victim of communal riots in Gujarat

Synopsis:

Professor Mathur introduces Namair Qazi to the warm and lively people of Chandni Chowk who all live together in peace and harmony irrespective of their religion.

In Chandni Chowk ,Shagufta, a modern Muslim college going girl, a bitter speaking Roma Mathur who is the wife of the Professor, Rahat, a Sufi pop singer, an 84 year old Gaffar Miyan filled with patriotism, a happy go lucky Sardar Kirtan Singh and various other people all coexist with fun, music, love, colourful events and festivals irrespective of their religion.

Everybody showers love and affection on Numair and their attitude surprises the terrorist. There is no black and white.

The Plot:

One day, Mathur meets a young man Numair Qazi (Anurag Sinha), who introduces himself as a victim of communal riots in Gujarat. Mathur believes him and gives him shelter without knowing the reality that Numair is a suicide bomber commissioned by a Muslim fundamentalist group. His aim is to plant a bomb near the Red Fort Aug 15.

During his 15-day stay, Numair wins the professor’s trust. Even his sharp-tongued wife becomes fond of him. He also meets a modern Muslim college girl Shagufta.

In a short period, Mathur becomes so fond of Numair that he helps him get a pass for the Aug 15 celebrations at Red Fort. The professor also introduces him to the warm and loving people of Chandni Chowk, who coexist with fun, music, love, colourful events and festivals irrespective of their religion.

During his stay with the Professor, Numair gets caught up in a tight spot as to whether he should carry out the orders of his superiors or not. Despite his deep-rooted fundamentalist beliefs, he sees Chandni Chowk as one of the most colourful and loving areas. Everybody showers love and affection on Numair and their attitude surprises the terrorist. There is no Black and White.

He starts questioning himself and finds himself caught in an emotional dilemma to go ahead with his mission. But he moves on and goes forward to accomplish his mission.

Numair should be alert and focused in order to execute his plans on the dotted day and time.

But what is worrying young Numair? What are the sacrifices of the Professor and his wife for him? What will eventually happen on Independence Day?

It’s a story, a notion, a message never seen before on the Indian screen with an exhilarating experience in this entertaining yet unique style of Director Subhash Ghai.

Rakesh Roshan, the producer, director & writer with par excellence has always walked “the path not taken” as said Robert Frost. Always expect the unexpected, for he almost always delivers. Rakesh Roshan has always explored new cinematic territory, which won him numerous awards & accolades.

With KRAZZY 4, Rakesh Roshan hands over the directorial baton to Jaideep Sen (who worked closely with Rakesh Roshan on both KOI..MIL GAYA and KRRISH) even as he revels in the role of producer par excellence! Impressed

with Jaideep’s dedication and willingness to learn, Rakesh entrusted his next film KRAZZY 4 into Jaideep’s capable hands. The music of the film has been composed by award winning music composer none other than Rajesh Roshan.

Character Sketches :

Juhi Chawla as Dr Sonali :As a psychiatrist she knows what’s wrong with her patients; as a sensitive woman she firmly believes that if you really want to make them well, you should treat them with your heart, not just your mind.

Arshad Warsi as Raja:Truly the angry young man! His blood boils, his fists clench and he’s ready to beat the daylights out of anyone who upsets him in some way.

Irfan Khan as Dr Mukherjee: He has decided that he’s the Captain of the team! But so obsessed is he by the need to be in control of a situation, he doesn’t realize he’s totally lost control of himself and his mind.

Rajpal Yadav as Gangadhar. He’s marching to a beat only he can hear; he’s fighting for a cause that’s long over. But in his muddled mind he’s still fighting for Swaraj : still hobnobbing with the likes of Nehru and Mahatma Gandhi.

Suresh Menon as Dabboo. Cute and adorable,he’s everybody’s pet and however far gone the rest may be, when it comes to Dabboo, everybody’s super protective. Even if he can hear and understand, Dabboo refuses to speak. And nobody knows why!

Dia Mirza as Shikha. As a TV reporter she controls the news on the channel, but as a woman she’s unable to control the unruly and unmanageable rage of Raja - the man she loves.

Rajat Kapur as Industrialist R K Sanyal, who’s also Dr Sonali’s husband. But in his quest for power and money he takes a step that will have alarming consequences for his wife and her patients - the KRAZZY 4!

Zaakir Hussain as Srivastav. He is so neck deep in illegal activities that now he’ll stoop to anything - even kidnapping and murder - to keep him ahead.

Synopsis:

It’s a mad, mad, mad world out there . Someone somewhere is going crazy over money , power, stress ,overwork, love….. Different reasons to go crazy!

The Plot:

Dr Mukherjee is your perfect doc – clean and orderly, not a pin out of place. So what’s wrong with that? Obsessive compulsive personality disorder, that’s what.

Schizophrenic Gangadhar lives in the past…his mates are Nehru and Gandhi, Tilak and Patel! He’s so busy fighting for swaraj and freedom, he’s lost his sanity!

Cute Dabboo is everybody’s pet. So what if he hasn’t spoken for years? So what if he’s frightened all the time? So what if he’s autistic?

Dr Sonali treats them all. She has faith that all it needs is a little time and lots of patience to make them normal, to make them part of the mad, mad, mad world out there…
