Today ,15th May,is Madhuri Dixit’s birthday .

While dear Madhuri is still basking in the glory of her Padma Shri award, people from the industry are busy sending her flowers and gifts on her special day.

“Thank you!” said the lady, when media wished her Happy Birthday.

Ask her about her plans for the day and she says,“Well, I don’t do anything out of the box on my birthday, will just spend the day with my family. Considering I am in India, my whole family and my friends will be with me.”

And what about the Bachchans’ Unforgettable tour? Speculation about this has kept her in the news for quite some time, now.

“I have still not decided on that. Talks are still on,” says Madhuri.

JIMMY and JANNAT due for release this week have now been postponed.

JIMMY  features  Mimoh Chakraborty, the son of the original Disco Dancer, Mithun Chakraborty and  JANNAT is  the comeback film of the serial kisser,Emraan Hashmi have both been postponed.

JIMMY, which was scheduled to release on May 9th  and JANNAT, which was set for a May 2nd release have both gone ahead to the same date. The two very different projects are now likely to see an interesting clash on the 16th of May. It may augar well for both considering that their publicity has not yet reached the peak.

While the audio of JIMMY has just been released, it will definitely take some time to grow. On the other hand, the music of JANNAT has started dominating the charts, with the two songs, ‘Lambi Judaai’ and ‘Zara Si’ already quite popular. However the publicity of JANNAT has not really been upto the standards associated with Vishesh Films and hopefully they will do the needful with more time at hand.

The multiplex chains Inox and Fame have finally started screening Yash Raj Films’ (YRF) latest offering “Tashan” here after receiving a written assurance from the banner that it will give prints of their other four releases of this year from the first-day-first-show.

Released last Friday, the Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Anil Kapoor starrer, was not screened in these multiplexes for a week because of a dispute over high revenue rate. After getting a discouraging response at the ticket window, the producers have now agreed to cut the revenue share as a result of which the multiplexes have started showing it from May 3.

“We refused to play ‘Tashan’ in Kolkata because YRF hiked the revenue rate by 12 percent and asked for 60 percent revenue collected in the first week. But now after the film crashed at the box office, the YRF officials have agreed to cut the revenue rate to 50 percent in the first week and 45 percent in the second week,” Vikas Syal, general manager of Inox (Forum) in Kolkata told IANS Monday.

“Besides we are getting a package deal of four forthcoming films under the YRF banner. This will save us from the hassles of renewing agreements and debate on negotiations before every YRF release,” Syal added.

The four forthcoming films of YRF are Kunal Kohli’s “Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic” starring Saif and Rani Mukerji, Ranbir Kapoor, Bipasha Basu and Deepika Padukone’s “Bachna Ae Haseeno”, Walt Disney co-produced animation film “Roadside Romeo” and Aditya Chopra’s third directorial venture “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi”, which will have superstar Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role.

“Only for ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’, YRF has asked for 35 percent revenue share instead of the usual 30 percent and we have agreed to the terms,” Syal said.

However, PVR Cinemas hasn’t started screening the film yet

While India in general and Goa in particular, especially the law and order infrastructure of the state is still reeling from the sensational murder of British teenager Scarlette Keeling Bollywood director Prabhakar Shukla is planning to make a film about the same.

The rape and murder in Goa this year became a global story, when the bruised and semi-naked body of Keeling, a 15-year-old girl who was holidaying in Goa with her family, was found on the Anjuna beach on Feb 18. An initial ruling of accidental death prompted her mother Fiona MacKeown to call for a second autopsy.

Her allegations of a nexus between drug barons, politicians and the police in Goa were denied by the local administration but highlighted lapses in investigation.

The second autopsy returned a verdict of rape and murder. A third post-mortem conducted in Britain showed that Indian doctors had removed Scarlette’s kidneys, stomach and uterus without informing Mackeown.

In an interview with The Times newspaper,Shukla said that he would start filming ‘Rave Party’ in Goa in July and had already approached Katrina Kaif, a Bollywood actress who was brought up in London, to play the teenager.

“The whole film is against drug abuse and the exploitation of tourists,” said Shukla, whose last production “Kahani Gudiya Ki” (Story of a Little Doll) was released in 2007. It was based on the true story of an Indian prisoner of war in Pakistan.

“Not just in India, but all around the world, real-life cinema is attracting curiosity. Film should be a mirror for society and people should get some inspiration or precaution from it,” said Shukla .

He had not yet contacted Scarlette’s mother, but said he hoped to meet her in Britain next month, adding: “I have great sympathy for her”.

Fiona MacKeown , however, said she had reservations about the proposed film, which she feared would portray Scarlette in a bad light, rather than her killers and the police who tried to cover their tracks.

“I’d like to know how they’re going to portray it, or I won’t approve it,” she told The Times. “I’m not sure about calling it ‘Rave Party’. Scarlette was not at a party. She was raped and murdered on the beach.”

Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan is over the moon at becoming father for the second time.We had earlier reported that his wife Susanne delivered a baby boy Thursday. Weighing 3.3 kg, the baby was born at the Lilavati Hospital.

“It feels wonderful!” a jubilant said Hrithik ,from the hospital. Hrithik’s voice brimmed over with paternal pride as he said “I never thought fatherhood the second time would be so special, so exhilarating. I can’t take my eyes off the baby… He is soooooooo beautiful!!”

On being asked if  he was disappointed by the fact that the second child wasn’t a girl as he wanted, Hritik said,“Earlier, before the baby came, I did want a girl this time, yes. To complete the family picture. But the minute I saw my new baby’s face I was as content as I could be… In fact he has already had his first photo-session, ha ha. The entire family of about 35 people except my dad is here. So we all gathered around the baby and the photographer went click click click. He seemed to really enjoy it.”

So now there is yet another star from the Roshan family said Hritik.

Hrithik chuckled happily. “All of us are here at the hospital. Only my dad is missing. He’s in Santa Fe (US) hunting locations for our film ‘Kites’. But we just e-mailed him a picture of the baby.”

“Right now we haven’t thought of any particular name. We’re just so happy to see him healthy and happy. Both mom and child are fine. Susanne will be home in a day or two.”

This is the couple’s second son. Their first son, Hrehaan, is two years old. Their mothers - Pinky Roshan and Zarine Khan - are ecstatic and making elaborate plans to welcome the baby to the Roshan House and then to the Khan villa in Juhu, a short distance away.

Bollywood Bad Boy, Salman Khan is always in the news mostly for all the wrong reasons!  That he is a mann ka mallik is a known fact. And if his recent pull out from the Zee Cine Awards wasn’t enough, a source from Khan’s upcoming show Dus ka Dum tells us that Salman recently sneaked out of the set leaving the crew bewildered and waiting at RK Studios.

“It was the last schedule of the show on Tuesday. And with him leaving for Australia to film Mr. and Mrs. Khanna , the channel was to film promos for the show. They had arranged for dancers also for it. The promos were to be shot at the end of the day after the episodes had been canned.”

“But it seems Salman was not in the mood to do them and he quietly left the sets without letting anyone know! The crew, who were doing a quick turnaround, were busy getting the lights and crew ready… they were informing the dancers about their stuff. And when one of the crew members went in to call Salman to the floors he realized that he wasn’t in the room!” says our source.

Though this is much different from his normal loud tantrums, it still left the channel in a lurch.Now with Khan leaving for Down Under to film for Mr. and Mrs. Khanna the promos are completely on hold. The channel has nothing to put and the next shooting schedule for Dus ka Dum only begins a month later. “This vanishing act of Salman could cost the channel as much as ten lakh rupees! Everyone was very angry but what can you do? Star hai na…”

This news comes just a few days after news of Salman pulling out of the Zee Cine Awards left his fans wondering. It is believed that the actor was unhappy with the choreographer assigned to him and therefore decided to make a u-turn at the airport where he was about to take a flight to London for the ceremony!

Though it does seem that Katrina has managed to mellow down the brash Khan, his tantrums and attitude still have much scope for improvement…..It seems high time that Salman adopts some of Katrina’s cool and calm mannerisms and sense of responsibility. Long way to go Kats baby, you have your work cut out for you!!!

Hrithik Roshan is bursting with joy, as he has become the father of a bundle of joy yet again!

Hrithik’s wife Suzanne Khan gave birth to a boy on Thursday at Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital. The baby was born at 11.27 am local time. The boy is said to be healthy and weighs around 3.3 kgs.

Suzanne’s doctor, Dr Kiran Coelho, confirmed the birth saying that both the “new mum and her baby boy were stable.”

“She has delivered a healthy baby boy. He was born around 11.30am. Both the baby and the mother are well and healthy. The entire family is by her side. Everyone is very happy,” confirmed the actor’s publicist.

Hrithik, who accompanied her right to the door of the delivery room, was seen beaming with pride. Hrithik had been putting off all his travels, outside Mumbai, for last few weeks because of Suzanne’s pregnancy.

Suzanne’s father Sanjay Khan who was at Lilavati by his daughter’s side was ecstatic as he told us about the new addition to his family. “We are all so happy. My tribe has just got another addition. It’s a great great feeling. We want to thank everyone for their love and blessings to my children,” said Khan.

Speaking about the celebrations in store grandpa Sanjay says, “We are very simple family and so we will do what anyone else does when a baby comes into their home. We will deliver laddoos and mithai… and thank the lord for being so nice to us!”

The couple had said, in an earlier interview, that they were looking forward to a girl, as they already have a cute son named Hrehaan. They had also added that they’d be equally excited, if it’s a boy.

And a boy it is indeed, for the star couple!

Sister-in-law Farah Ali Khan, who became spokesperson for the Roshans and Khans, said Hrithik was on top of the world.

“One look at the baby and Hrithik said, ‘He looks so much like his brother, Hrehaan!’,” reported Farah. “He’s the most perfectly formed baby I have seen. Hrithik stayed with Sussanne all through.”

The couple already have a two year old son Hrehaan who like his younger brother was also born at Lilavati Hospital in March 2006. Hrithik and Suzanne had named their first son Hrehaan by merging their names together. We wonder how they will name their second son!

Zayed and Malaika Khan, Sanjay and Zarine Khan, Simone, Rakesh, Pinky and Sunaina Khan were present at the hospital to celebrate with the couple.

Just last evening Sanjay Khan had predicted to us that his daughter would deliver very soon and that like the first time around this time too she would give him a grandson!

Vishal of the music director duo Vishal Shekhar, who will be part of Unforgettables, revealed some of the highlights about the tour which will commence in July.

During his Unforgettables tour, Amitabh Bachchan will perform on some of his memorable songs right from the 70s.

“It’s not decided which actor will perform the first song but I have heard from the management that Mr.Amitabh Bachchan will do it. He is going to perform on all his hits songs - from the 70s to his recent ones,” says Vishal.”The tour will begin from Toronto, Canada on July 15 so the preparations are currently on in full swing.

“We have composed the title track based on the theme – Bollywood. The track will be played when the concert comes to an end in a particular city. I can’t tell you the wordings but I’m sure this track will gain a lot of popularity. It will come on air tentatively by last week of May,” adds Vishal.

“Abhishek and Aishwarya will perform on their individual hits including Kajra Re. We will also perform on our hits like Bluffmaster, OSO,Tashan and some songs from Bhoothnath,” he further revealed.

“The tour is divided into two parts. In the first part there will be 11 shows where apart from the Bachchans, Ritiesh Deshmukh,Preity Zinta and Akshay Kumar,will perform. At the end of it we will come to India. The 2nd part will have a total 15 shows. It will go on floors by the end of the year,” concludes Vishal.

And the film is Rajkumar Hirani’s forthcoming film.

The news is a big one for Kareena, as she has managed to steal the ever so elusive and perfectionist Aamir Khan from actresses like Rani Mukherji, Preity Zinta and Vidya Balan.

There was some confusion in between, but last night she finally got her contract letter from Hirani’s office.

And she’s obviously delighted, because her last film with Aamir Khan which Mani Ratnam had planned, did not work out.
