
Like the movie My Friend Ganesha the movie 26th July in Barista is also a movie based on a family and story that is located in Mumbai. The movie is said to be based on a true incident that happened at Mumbai , the most occupied Indian metro cities. The city was flooded to strand people at their place be it homes, school, market places and work areas.
Film is a small way to project the travails of life on the big screen. The producer through his writer, director, technicians and artistes brings life to the trauma on celluloid. In a matter of 24 hours where power and phone lines were dead the lifeline are emotions which is a link to total strangers in crisis where you try to do your bit by a word of solace, help physically or stabilize the moments of life which is torn apart by the disaster.
Synopsis:
The unexpected heavy rainfall on July 26th in the year 2005 made people and kids vulnerable to many horrific situations as they were blocked in their schools, job location and many were blocked in traffic. The movie is a tribute to the people who did not loose their calm and helped people even in such disaster irrespective of cast, creed and religion
The movie is a salute to the spirit of Mumbai and World Humanity. The Natural catastrophe which destructed many lives of People and Property and laid the bare fact that nobody is above the nature. But the human spirit moves ahead to fight & make his & other lives for a better tomorrow. A Tribute to the fighting spirit of Mumbaikars.
The people from all class and segment of life come under the roof of Barista on that fateful night of 26th July and the trauma they undergo each in his own way is the central theme.

The Hero and Heroine who are accidentally at Barista console their friends & people at Barista while they are under turmoil and trauma.
Their love is an emotion which is subtle but denotes how love can overcome the saga of natural calamity and two strangers are bound by an unknown feeling which is all prevalent and essence of life.
The Plot:
The story starts as people are coming back from their work areas and children coming from school and the rain are just flooding everywhere .The raining in Mumbai is not very uncommon and people are not surprised to see the rains. Many are complaining the municipal for not making proper roads to avoid water logging. Many children are playing in the streets in rains. The rains in Mumbai are generally heavy and people expect that it will stop and things will be normal.
Many people gather at a coffee shop, Barista in Mumbai and two strangers also get to the coffee shop. People are sitting in Barista with families and loved ones and many are with friends enjoying the evening and rains. And then happened like the rains are not stopping and the water level in street goes up and up and people are stranded to the coffee shop.
The story is about a group of people who fight the natural calamity and protect other people risking their own lives. The horrific night of Mumbai when the city was flooded with water most unexpectedly is depicted and the strength of people who come together to help each other to get out of the problem is also depicted in the movie .The movie comes as a praise for such people who helped others at the time of disaster without even knowing who the other person was and the people who risked their own lives for others during floods.

A film which touchs a chord in people’s heart every where all over the world. “Emotion Is One Common Bond All Over World Irrespective Of Caste, Creed, Colour And Status.” It is a humble way of saluting the human spirit world over.
The movie will release on 14th March 2008.
